Jay Vista makes a family reunion fun
Day 1 - Arrive and get settled in. Do grocery shopping and then enjoy an evening BBQ on the lawn.
Day 2. You'll vist an incredibly beautiful Vermont wilderness area where you will paddle in a kayak or canoe on this pristine lake containing 9 islands. Find a swimming cove on one of the islands and enjoy the clear pure waters. Watch out for loons as chances are they will follow you around. The day includes a picnic lunch. If you have never paddled before, don't worry about it. Your tour guide will offer instructions and by the end of the day you will be in love with your new sport.
Day 3. Today you will go hiking on the Long Trail which is part of the Killington Trail for a couple of hours and then head out to a local swimming hole hidden in the woods. For those wanting a less adventurous day, we'll provide a suggested route for a self-guided driving tour of the byways of northern Vermont where you can enjoy antiquing, treasure hunting and stopping to view arts and crafts along the byways of our Northeast Kingdom.
Day 4. Do you golf? If yes, spend a day playing 18 holes of golf at Jay Peak Resort. This activity has an additonal $55 per person charge for the golfer and includes 18 holes of golf and a cart. If you don't play golf, then you can visit the Danville Corn Maze to test your skills at trying to get out of the maze. Another option is a visit to the Cabot Dairy to learn how the world's best cheese is made. Transportation and a guide are not provided for this portion of the package.
Day 5. Canoe or kayak on an ancient Native American Waterway in the morning and then it is off to River Walk to spend an afternoon relaxing at this lovely swimming hole.
Day 6. - Day of bass fishing which hopefully you can bring back to grill on your last evening in Vermont.
Day 7 - Check out from Jay Vista and leave with wonderful memories of your family reunion. To inquire about this package please contact the Property Manager. See all packages |
