Run away to northern Vermont for a fun-filled and yet relaxing getaway.  You’ll stay at  a studio apartment at the Coach House in Montgomery Center.  Once the original hotel for the area 150 years ago, this historic building has been converted into attractive vacation rental apartments loaded with character and charm in the heart of an idyllic, quaint Vermont town.  The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen but if cooking is not part of your plans, there are a number of great pubs and restaurants within walking distance of the Coach House.

DAY 1 - Arrive at the Coach House in Montgomery Center and get settled in.

DAY 2

You will be picked up by Montgomery Adventures and taken to the Green River Reservoir for a  full day of  canoeing or kayaking with a guide. This pristine waterway is just a quick 35 minute drive from the Coach House and with any luck you will be serenaded by the resident loons whilst you gently paddle in between the 9 islands on this pristine lake. A BBQ lunch will be provided  and you can swim at several of the secluded coves and beaches along the way.

DAY 3 – Before heading home, you’ll have a rejuvenating hour long body wrap and massage with Nicole at Better Living Massage before checking out.   Nicole will pamper you at her delightful cottage on the banks of the Trout River. In winter it is heated by a wood stove but at any time of year, visitors appreciate the charm and character of this popular local spa.

3 NIGHT OPTION - If staying for the 3 nights, you will also enjoy a guided 2 mile easy morning  hike through the northern woods to a hidden waterfall before returning to the Coach House for a 2 pm check-out.
